I've had it just over a week its nearly gone

But I'm struggling to swallow food, not all the time though its only when I am aware I'm eating I know it doesn't make sense, like if I'm doing something like reading or texting and I'm eating I can swallow no problem, if I'm stressed or worried there's no point in me trying to eat I can drink fine

Ugh, I feel your pain, hun! I just started a new job a few weeks ago, and I had to call in sick for a day in my SECOND WEEK because of a cold. The thing is 3 weeks old now and my voice still sounds like a raspy old woman...

That's what I hear! I am working a retail job for the holidays, and I was at the store Saturday night (I'm a cashier) and all my customers kept telling me "I hope you feel better soon!". I just wanted to tell them all that I feel FINE, I just sound like crap...

I hope you feel better!

A couple years ago, I came down with a nasty cold that seemed to last for weeks; I actually missed two days of work. Finally, I got to the point where the only thing that was left was a very deep cough. But that darn cough lingered for weeks! Weeks! I thought I was going to be stuck with it forever. And then it finally went away.

and that you are on the mend.
