How many posts are you averaging per day?

Just wondering if you're posting more than usual currently because of the three million posts contest. Right now I'm averaging around 12 a day (and making an effort not to be too lazy to post).

If you click on your user name, "view public profile" and then "show all statistics" over on the right you'll find your average.

I haven't had time to do more than normal, wait one min and I'll edit this when I've checked, ok just checked, 7.37 a day, don't think I'm in with a chance lol.x

I don't know how it calculates the number, but I've been a member since 2002 and have been active off and on depending upon work and Gary's health. Definitely a few years there where I wasn't around much at all. I've been on a lot the past couple of months - in fact this past year - and I'm definitely posting well above the 7.17 posts per day my profile reports - but that doesn't have anything to do with the contest.

Posts Per Day: 0.76 That low 0.76 is because for several years I was too busy with work to post or even log in. Nowadays I post at least 5 posts per day.

I'm pretty low, too, at abou 5.32 posts. I go in spurts most of the time.

5.95 is my average, I'm aiming for 6 a day lol

Today I posted only 1.88, I think I post more than that normally.

Edit: A measly 2.83 posts per day. That's probably from when I took a hiatus from a lot of boards, or just got so busy I forgot about posting.

It says 12.85, but I know it's not right. That had to have been back when I was a more active poster Right now it's just 1 or 2 a day.

11.27 a day... Doesn't feel like I write that many though....

It's not entirely accurate for long-time members because of the site meltdown back in 2004 (?). People lost lots of posts, in some cases hundreds or thousands. Anyone remember what year it was?

I have no idea why people are confused about this. It's quite simple really it takes in to account the total number of posts you have and the number of days you have been a member of TCS and just gives an average. So I did yours as an example you have been a member at TCS for 5 years and approx 7 months so that is approx 2035 days, so 21,398 divided by 2035 is 10.5, of course I could have got that more accurate but I didn't check your join date. It doesn't take into account oh such and such was not on TCS for any of the year 2008, it just works out an average.

Mine would be a LOT higher if we didn't have that downtime I think I lost around 8,000 posts if not more. I think it was 04' Tricia.

My average is 13.54 per day, but I've been posting less than that lately.

Mine says 6.27.

Lately I've been more of a lurker than a poster though

Mine says 7.57 a day now, no way I have been posting like crazy lately. x
