Morning folks

The snow has shown its ugly head again, looks like we only have an inch or two.....

Have you got snow where you are?? If so how much?

No snow here in Wellington it is Summer and was heading to be one of the hottest Decembers on record, but for the last week it has been raining rather heavily

I've just watched on the news about the caos at Heathrow airport. How horrible for all those passengers. I was also watching all the idiots who are still attempting to fly over there, and Air NZ has said they will not be compensating people who are required to halt travelling at their stop over destination. They are however willing to offer a full refund for any tickets.

Well that was more words then you asked for

We got about 5 inches back in mid November that all melted the next day. Last week we got about an inch that has about half melted/blown away. Just enough to make things look cruddy.

I'm fed up of it. I hate the stuff, and if this carries on i won't be able to get to our family gathering on christmas day I won't be on my own for christmas because i know theres a place at my friends table just a 5 minute walk from my house, but i want to be with my family at christmas

I know So much for the snow shower it was supposed to be. We had thunder and lightening twice yesterday afternoon and a blizzard started

The plus side of it is i had my christmas grocery delivered last week instead of this week, so i'm all stocked up with food and drink

None here as of yet and it can stay that way as far as I'm concerned. It can all stay across the river in 3Catsn1Dog's area!

We've had snow showers and squalls and a couple of weeks ago, some of the lake effect snow bands made things more than a little slippery. I think we had 3 inches or so then, but that's been pretty much it.

However, our local weatherweenies seem to be talking now about snow on Christmas Day and, depending on how the storm tracks up the east coast, we could get hammered. Or not. So we're just going to wait and see.

I really don't want bad weather. My in-laws are coming for Christmas dinner and since they don't drive, DH will have to bring them here and then take them back home. And my mother may be coming for dinner, too, so DH will have to bring her here and then take her home. He doesn't mind doing it at all, but if the weather is nasty, nobody will want to take chances. So we're waiting to see if our dinner will be on Saturday or (maybe) Sunday.

Actual measurement of snowfall, a couple of feet or so, actual measure in my yard, drifts ranging from 2 to 8' deep and heaps pushed up to 12 feet. More winter to come, probably gonna break records here or at least come close to the record.

We've got about 15 cm on the ground, and now it's raining, so the streets and sidewalks are just slush. If the temperature drops tonight we'll be in big trouble. Scratch that -it's snowing again.

We have just enough to cover the ground and that still too much for me.

No snow at all Usually we've had a blizzard by now so I'm mad. I really want to see Luna and Midnight's reactions.

no snow here which is a shame since it makes all the christmas decorations look great! BUT I'm not terrible upset no snow means I can still keep working. My students cancel their lessons when they have snow days since the roads in my area are simply awful in the snow.

So far the highest pile of it I have is just over 10 feet. Most of the rest of my yard is about 5-6 feet. But at least I don't have to shovel it all by hand (it's nice to have a snow blower)

No snow in South Texas One of these days I'll live where they get a little snow. I wouldn't want to live where there's a lot of blizzards but would like a little each year. Enough to make a snowman

Nope, not a flake here yet. Hope it stays that way all winter which starts tomorrow. I don't care how cold it gets but please no snow or ice...yeah right

NO snow here, but I don't live in snow country! Can't tell you where I live yet, untill Secret Santa is over

They said we got some yesterday, but I didn't see it. We're at sea level here in town, so wee don't get much normally. I would like to get SOME... I don't have to drive in it anymore (no car). Although the transit folks (and regular drivers) seem to think that a light dusting of snow means you must have chains... not. I lived in Chicago and upstate NY... you don't NEED chains... (I say this every year). I took the bus a few years ago when we had a really good pounding here and the buses did need chains... I think a few fillings came out of my teeth due to the rattling... I didn't dare try holding a conversation with anyone while on the bus...

Just a few inches would be nice...

We are nearly breaking the snow record from year 1915 here in southern Finland. We have 50cm -70cm snow here (depending where it was measured in, the higher being 'untouched snow') which is about 19-27 inches. We are still getting more of it..
It will also get very cold near the weekend, temperature is supposed to drop to -25C or even to -30C (which would be -22F).

Haha, that's kinda funny. We have to pay for my daughter's lessons at the beginning of the month no matter what. And you know...it always seems to storm on Thursdays.

No snow Would LOVE some.

My parents have been getting a good bit up in Charlotte. Hmph. When I lived there for a year, we got 1.5" in one night and that was it. It started snowing there this year in the beginning of November or so.
