Lord, I haven't had fresh, warm apple cider in years! I remember our girl scout troop always served it after we went caroling every year. I might just have to pick up a gallon on my next market run. Of course, it won't be "fresh" but it's as close as I'll get.
I have honestly never tried it but I have always wanted too. Seems odd to be so country and southern and to not have had apple cider. I honestly don't remember anyone making it when I was a kid
Not much of a cider fan here, unless I'm making cider doughnuts or a cider-infused roast pork. But not to drink it. My son adores the stuff, so I always try to have it on hand when I know he's going to visit.
At our planning commission meeting tomorrow night, our chair will bring hot mulled cider in a crock pot. It's not bad and it does wonders for a sore throat. I will drink some of it.
