I have 3 cats. Milo and Dexter are 2 year old litter mates, both neutered and Lola is a 6 month old kitten (will be spayed in January).
Dexter while usually very friendly with Lola has recently started attacking her. I know that is a territorial issue ie. Lola is sleeping on the bed, Dexter decides he is sleeping on the bed will lay down 2 feet away from her and then out of nowhere he lets out this shrieking meow and will pounce Lola and bite her back and the back of her neck. The two cats are not touching and there is plenty of room on the bed but he still attacks her.
Most of the time they are all friendly with one another. Dexter and Lola groom and play with each other but then it is almost like something snaps and he violently attacks her. It is usually over sleeping places. Just now Dexter was sleeping on the floor. Lola found a spot on the floor, not touching Dexter and he attacked her again.
There is a considerable size/weight difference between the two cats and I am afraid he is going to hurt her.
How can I get him to stop attacking her??
