Lets hope this works!

I finally made a decision today on what food to switch the kitten to. I looked at prices and it seems that the Natural Balance is pretty good for the price. The Nutro Max was the same price but I liked the NB better. So we come home and miss picky went right to it and when I opened the canned food (she hates canned food) she loved it! I gave her a 1/4 of the small can and she ate it all! I am so excited that she likes this and that it is so much cheaper then the Royal Canin! Now lets hope she does well on it!

I hope she'll eat it! Maybe picky kitty will finally really like a food that you give her.

Well she ate the canned the one time and refuses anymore of it so that is fine with me we will stick with dry food. But she doesn't want the NB dry either plus she got diareah pretty bad with it. I have tried a few different brands with her and I introduce them VERY slow but they always make her sick. I guess we just are not able to save money on her food and are stuck feeding RC because that is all that agrees with her.

what brands have you tried in dry?

I am thinking you may want to stick to one or two meat with one or two grains or starches ...

We have tried 4health, Blue Buffalo, Nutro (that she just refused to eat) and I think that is it. She does ok (stomach wise) on the RC but she does itch and shed a lot. I was thinking that maybe something like California Natural but I don't know what the prices are on that. I have to drive a bit to get that. The BB rep. at Petco told me about the Blue Basics but that is very pricey and doesn't look like limited ingredients. I didn't think feeding a cat would be so hard!

Cal natural in my area is less than rc .. 6-8 lb bag is roughly 20$

Blue Basics is in fact Not very basic unless compared to the reg blue line... You might want to look at the blue wilderness( grain free but has alot of starch)

Which Nutro?
