Fable got spayed today

Hi all well i got fable spayed this morning and just got her back 2 hours ago and she seems fine, they did a great job on her. She's wanting to play already but my question is, is it too soon for her to be wanting to play and is it normal? I don't want her doing herself any damage, i have put her in the bathroom with her bed for now in hopes that she will relax a bit more plus i don't want her getting into a fight with my other kitty.

It's been such a stressful day, been worrying about fable and im so glad she's back home.So glad it's over!

I would keep her contained as much as is humanly possible with a kitten for the rest of the day at least. Tomorrow may be a different story depnding on how she feels, but today is a bit soon. As far as energy goes, I adopted my kitten the day after his neuter and he was nothing but energy. Anasthesia effects everyone and every pet differently, she is just noe of those who doesnt experience the grogginess side effect.

That's good that it went well! Becareful letting her run around an play so she doesn't rip her stitches out. Luna didn't want to play. She didn't do much playing for a week. She was kept seperated from Midnight.

It's amazing how different they react to the operation, i expected fable to be off her food and be miserable but she's got a good appetite. She's not allowed to eat much yet. Im trying to keep her in the bathroom until i know she's healed, she's not happy about it though. Whenever i let her out she starts fights with stella and jumps all over. I was hoping she would be a bit more sleepy to give her some time to heal but nope she insists on playing. Even in the bathroom she's jumping in and out of the bath, i wish i had somewhere else to keep her but i dont.

Thank you for getting Fable spayed. Maybe try to make a ramp to reduce the jumping. You have good instincts
