OK - so he's not as fat as he really looks. Only about 13, tipping towards 14 lbs. The goal is to keep him from every hitting 14 lbs & the vet/I are happy enough.
The Chairman Squishy Meow, known to lowly human beings such as us simply as "Squishy", had ear ablation surgery on November 11th. We are now 5 weeks post op, and with a lot of.....minor hiccups....we're almost healed (in more places than he should be
).
Squishy no longer has any ear canal for that ear, as it healed up - the vet did some searching & we *think* & *hope* we can get by w/o having to open his head back up. There's minimal scabbing left & much less scarring than we anticipated!
Most of all - he's back to his PITA self - he's back to pissing on stuff.
I've limited his freedom & I'm working on how to keep him appropriately using the catbox.
