Hi All. I am new to this forum and to the interesting world of cats. I have worked with cats at my vet clinic for over four years but have never actually owned one. I just adopted a cat from my local shelter where I attend college this past semester. She has turned out to be the cutest and mischievous thing i could ask for! Just thought i would come on here to talk about cats and even learn new things. My cats name is Roxi (I call her Roxanna when she gets in trouble lol). She is what I call a tuxedo cat and will be turning two years old in march. Man does time fly. Here are some pictures!
Roxi at the shelter when I fell in love. She was not the kind of kitten to run and jump in your lap and she was quite lazy. But if you picked her up and put her in your lap she would stay there and purr. I loved her markings and had to have her. I went to visit her everyday at the shelter till my application was processed, there was some kind of delay where they lost my paperwork but none the less i visited.
She was quite the terrorist. The little white boy was her best friend at the shelter. But i thought i should experience one cat before i experienced two.
Coming home from her spay with the cone of shame! lol
Of course whatever the big sister does the little brother has to do too. Heres Roxi's best friend at my home in houston
Of all the things this cat has brought in the house this has to be by far the worst! Good thing it was dead before she brought it in.
Lets just say she loves boxes and her pupils dilate real big when she sees one in the apartment LOL
