Google Chrome

Okay, so I hope whoever reads this can bear with someone who is not very technologically savvy...

A while ago, I posted about an issue my computer was having with its operating system. Well, finally, yesterday, I decided to tackle the issue myself and restore my computer to its out-of-the-box factory settings. It meant clearing my hard drive and resetting my operating system. Thankfully, it seems to have worked and the problems I was having appear to have been resolved. However, while making re-installing my web browser, I decided to go with Google Chrome.

So far, I'm very happy with Google Chrome. I really like it. It's taking some time to get used to, but it's fast, easy, and seems to be secure. But, one thing I've noticed is that when I'm typing a post, instead of seeing changes such as adding bold lettering or including smilies, I see, what I think is the html code. When I was using IE, I would see the changes immediately instead of the brackets and coding. And, while this is certainly not a major problem, is there something that I can do to resolve this issue?

If not, that's okay. But, I just thought I'd ask. You know, just in case .

I use Google Chrome, and have always noticed that as well. I don't think there is anything you can do about it...not sure???? I guess I'll just live with it!

I use Chrome exclusively now myself. I love the speed, security, and simplicity it offers. I have not had any formatting issues like you mention though. I'll play around a bit with it and see if I can get it to misbehave.

I believethat feature is only on IE. I use firefox and chrome and neither of them has shown those while the post has been composing.

oops, ok now I see what you meant, your talking about the actual editor part itself, not the post view.

VBulletin (the forum software) does not support the WYSIWYG editor in Chrome. The VB tags you are seeing is what gets translated to the visuals after posting.

Firefox and IE are supported.
