I have 2 cats now
Marley is 2.5 and Miles is about 7mo. When I brought Miles home they were both eating Innova dry and Marley was eating wellness wet also, I cant get Miles to eat wellness wet food. to start Miles had awful smelling BM's and they were very loose. A month or so went by and it didn't get any better so I thought I'd better switch dry foods. I ended up getting Nutura Source because I was told it is very tolerable for sensitive cats. Problem is Marley wont eat it. Miles is doing better on this food but I still think his BM could be firmer. Marley has a gut of steel and can eat ANYTHING or any kind of food without any change in his elimination. I've bought Instinct wet food that Miles eats but those cans are 2.00 each! He also likes Meow mix wet food. But I digress....are there any foods you suggest would be ok for both cats to eat and LIKE? Marley wont touch TOTW. He has been on Innova his entire life, sometimes mixed with CN and sometimes mixed with Evo.
I did mix CN with the Innova for a while to see if Miles did ok on that and I didn't see any change.
Any ideas on what could be causing his loose stool after so long and food changes?

Blue Buffalo kitten dry caused loose stools for Buttercup.

It was hard to narrow down, but when it got better off and then went bad again back on, and then improved when finishing the bag (was a dummy and bought the largest size they had) it seemed pretty conclusive.

No clue what specific ingredient it was that was causing an issue, but I would wager it was a food allergy to something in that specific formula.

I'd just let your kitty get a bit hungry, and sprinkle some Purina FortiFlora on the wet food (firms up stools by promoting healthy bacteria and tastes VERY VERY good according to my cats). Don't want to be switching up foods TOO much for a sensitive tummy kitty, but switching wet flavors within similar formulas now and then might keep things interesting as well. Some cats also like to peck at food rather than gobble, so I wouldn't put TOO much on a plate or worry if they leave some, as they might come back in 30 mins for more like Buttercup often does. Stick with a consistent dry IMO though.
