Was getting into stuff so I gave him a time out and he would not stay in his time out and so I put him in bed and shut he door and he is now in there crying and saying momma, daddy, pawpaw and saying Aunt Gail is mean. But he wouldn't listen to me and he was going to get hurt.

He'll be fine. At least you followed through with a punishment, instead of letting him go back to what he was doing. Sounds like that's probably what usually happens at home for him.

Part of his problem today was he was tired. I ended up telling my niece to calm down, a friend of mine was coming over and bringing her son and I told her if she wasn't good she would sit in her room by herself when her company came over. And she calmed down.
