Calvin and I say hello

Hi everyone,

We got Calvin 2 weeks ago and he's about 18 weeks now. He's a naughty little thing who loves to cuddle and show love to his humans. He has 2 adult humans wrapped around his paws and serving him constantly. I am a first time cat owner (my husband had indoor/outdoors when younger) and am trying to seek help on this site to make sure that I do it right by Calvin.

Thanks Aj, Kailie and My4LLMA for welcoming us.
Calvin is glowing with all the compliments! He is a sweet boy and very loving. Loves to cuddle and kiss, lets me pick him up, very curious and fascinated with water. We wanted a male tabby and the foster mom had 2 males and 2 females and all were so cute. Calvin was a little older than the others and his foster mom was holding Calvin when we walked in and handed him to me. He put his paws on me and stared at me. We had to choose and how can you discriminate? We decided since I held Calvin first we'll get him. The pic is from a couple of hours after he arrived home. One wonders what kind of horrible person would put a cutie like this (along with his sister, who had been adopted before Calvin was) in a box and dump them in the metroparks.

Oh, he's so cute - no wonder it was hard to leave him 'home alone' this first time! How could anyone not love that face!

That was a cruel start he got in life - but perhaps it was meant to be, so that he'd find a forever home full of love with you.

Thanks Darlili, Catbehaviors and Xocats. The advice I have got so far has been great. For a first time furmommy like me, TCS is so helpful. It is really funny how 6 months ago I would not even consider having a kitten/ cat ever. I always considered myself a dog person and was gearing towards getting a dog but the time was not right. Then for work I had to stay temporarily at a different city and my landlady had a 6 month old orange tabby and I fell in love with him and he would just stay with me and sleep on me when I was home. So here we are.
