strange behavior after giving food

i have a 6 month old siamese male neuteured kitten.....just lately i noticed some strange behavior.....i give him some chicken, and he will eat a few bits, and then will take his paw, and act as he is covering it up.....moving his paw back and forth on the floor.....he just started doing this....why?http://members.cox.net/rcgaard/Picture%201.jpg

Covering the food up you mean? It is normal... I have a cat, Bugsy who is a specialist in doing this - he will grab whatever is on his reach to cover his food so he can came back for more later - socks, blankets, toys....
I hear siamese are specially known for that too

thank you for insight....i thought it was strange, all of a sudden he started doing this....its like he is in the kitter litter box, but doing this on the floor beside the food bowl..

Yeah, totally normal. Old instincts that some cats are just stuck with. Our Buddy does this. He eats in the bathroom, so its not uncommon to find toilet paper, the empty rolls or wash clothes in his dish afterwards.

That is a normal get behavior. Wild cats of all types use dirt, leaves etc to "hide" excess food. This behavior often carries over into our domestic cats.
