Hello!

My name is Julie and I live in MN with my husband. We have 4 rescue cats. Ned is a gray DSH with half a tail. He's 10-12 years old. My husband adopted him about 8 years ago while we were still dating. Louie is a brown Persian mix we adopted from the Humane Society 7 years ago. He was about 2 years old at the time. Bobke we adopted during the Tour de France (how he got his name) in 2008 when he was about 9 months old. He's an orange w/white DSH. We've had Frida for almost a year. She's a dilute calico Cornish Rex who showed up in a local rescue. She's 6 years old now.

We also have 2 Great Danes and a Staffordshire Bull Terrier, a Timneh African Grey Parrot, a Yellow-naped Amazon Parrot, a ferret, and 3 large snakes. We volunteer and foster for a Dane rescue and right now have a foster Dane too.

That's quite the menagerie you have there! I especially like the pic of your Rex kitty, Frida, in her sweater.

Speaking of sweaters, I hope you and your family are safe and snug inside this weekend; I've been reading about the blizzard in your area. Brrrrrrr...

We just got done digging out. We got about 15-16" of snow and now it's hovering around 0°F. We have a little of the tropics inside:

Oh my gosh....
I don't know which picture I love best.
They are all wonderful.

I have to say that Ned, in all of his lap glory, made me laugh.

Shane looks like he is pondering the meaning of the universe and your birds are beautiful.

If you have not done so already, you might want to post some of your pictures in our photo area so more members will see them.

Hi DaneWillow,

Welcome to TCS
. I love the photo of your Persian Mix. I also love the photo of your African Grey and Yellow Nape Amazon. I have breed exotic birds for years. I am glad to see I am not the only cat and bird loving person
.
