I have 3 cats aged 9 (female), 9 1/2 (male) & 7(female) all fixed. I brought the male home from a teeth cleaning at our regular vet & the 7 year old female attacked him whenever he came near. Sreaching, scratching attack not just hissing. He ran away at first, but now when I try to have them in the same room, he starts to "stalk" her & she gets upset & so I seperate them againbefore a fight can start. The other female cat does not get involved & neither of the 2 fighting cats has attacked her, she can be with either one in the same room. HELP! How can I reintroduce them??

I found the text in this book spot on, but the illustrations aren't helpful at all. Good over all book

This mat caught my eye because of its size and texture, which traps fine litter rather well. It's large enough for jumbo litterboxes, which is also a plus. It's not quite as easy to clean as a...

This scoop was a freebie with some clumping litter I bought last year, and I like it so much that I've bought a second one. It's perfect for fine clumping litter, which it sifts very thoroughly....

I also have a problem when I bring one of mine home from the vet's office.
I just brought Phoebe home from cystotomy surgery - so I really don't want her involved with any fighting for sure.

Usually, it takes about 4 or 5 days for the hissing to finally end.
One way that I've found helpful is giving them all treats at the same time.
They're so interested in the treats that they ignore issues.
I guess I'd say give it a few more days and hopefully things will settle back in to "normal".
Other than going back to "square one" introductions with scents, and other distractions - that's about all I have to offer.

I hope you'll have success, sooner than later.

Whenever either of my cats goes to the vet, I always have to put some talcum powder or vanilla on them to mask that vet smell. Rub some baby powder in your hands and then pet BOTH cats so they both smell like that. The reason they hiss is because cats hate that vet smell, and they can smell it on their friends, so you need to make both cats smell the same. You'll be amazed, the one time I forgot to do that my cats started fighting. I seperated them then put some powder on, and they were instantly best friends again.
