When I am with Pixie, I will be petting her and talking to her, which sis thinks is weird, and I will tell her several times that I love her and I believe she understands me. And my daddy tells his dog Tiny that he loves her and that she is his baby and his sugar. And I just wondered who else does this?

I always talk to my animals. I tell Abby she is a pretty girl, and that I love to snuggle with her, and what a soft tummy she has and I thank you for choosing me to be her person.

I talk to Nora all the time, even DH does. Don't tell him I told you, but he even lays down on the floor next to her and gushy baby talks to her. LOL It's really cute. Nora even talks back to us, and uses different meows depending on what we say to her, so I completely think she understands us.

I always talk to Larry. Just this morning, I was trying to get moving, but Larry looked so cozy all tucked up in the covers I just laid down on the bed again and talked to him and petted him. He was purring and tucking his head under. I totally think he understands.

I do, I do!

And they DO understand me! Sometimes, the cats are the ones that are looking at me like I'm crazy!

We talk to our kitties all the time! Mark will baby talk to them, too, which is so funny because 11 yrs ago when we met, he wasn't a cat person. I think now, even Tumbles understand, "GET OUT OF THAT TREE!"

I talked to all the animals I owned which included: fish, hermit crabs, newts, hamsters, a bunny, and of course my cats.

I used to tell
Lynxx
all about my day, even ask him for his advice. Even now I still talk to him in the hopes that he can still hear me.

Yup, we talk to them all the time! Gary's mom always tells us to tell them she loves them from her, too.
We sing to them too - and we make songs for them (and about them
).

Yup, I call Jake my love, the best baby in the world, I also tell him that I love him like ALL the time, and when he bites me I say "I love you too" because he shows his affection by nibbling on my hands.
According to my mom, who is very superstitious, I shouldn't tell him he's the best or the prettiest, because it might bring evil spirits to him, or something like that. She believes the same for babies- and when I was little she put garlic in my pockets, and an eye bead bracelet, because strangers might say "what a pretty baby" and end up conjuring an evil spirit, and those things supposedly ward them off. Maybe I should put an eye bead on Jake's collar and still tell him he's beautiful and the best cutest baby
I dunno, I don't believe it but I try not to tell him that

I think anyone who DOESN'T talk to their animals this way is weird!

I tell Trout I love her when I am feeling extra snuggly, but not every minute or anything. Don't want her to get spoiled

I talk to my cats all the time. Daisy used to be very insecure when she first came to live with us. She slept at the foot of the bed. But she would follow me, right on my heels, if I got up to get a drink of water at night or whatever. Now she is comfortable here, but I still tell her You don't have to get up. I'll be right back.... when I go for water in the middle of the night.
