Hi everyone! My cat has had an eye issue for a few years, but its never seemed to bother her. Ive never taken her to the vet for this problem because it doesnt actually seem to be a problem. I havent noticed anything changing in her eye, so it doesnt seem to be growing, or if it is, its very slow and i have not ever noticed. I will post pictures below.

Here is a picture of her getting mad at me taking so many pictures...

If anyone can also tell me what type of cat she is by the pictures, that would be awesome =D

Thanks for the help in finding out what kind of eye issue this is!

She's certainly pretty - but are you saying she's not been to a vet at all for a few years? In any event, if she hasn't had a check up lately (like in the last month), I'd be arranging for a check up and especially mention the eye deal - may be nothing, may be serious - but IMO you need a professional examination to get started. If nothing else, you may consider getting her a senior panel exam just as a baseline for future health issues - they'll draw blood, etc, to see where she is right now.

She's had this for years, and you never had the vet look at it? Just because it doesn't seem to be a problem, doesn't mean it isn't 1. Don't wait any longer just incase it's something serious.

Beautiful cat by the way!

They didn't say she's never taken the cat to the vet, just that they hasn't taken it to the vet for this specific problem.

Has this been there the entire time you've had your cat, or just happened out of nowhere?

Misshapen pupils are often due to head trauma of some sort. It's possible your cat injured her head a few years ago, and the pupil thing popped up as a result. Other possibilities are strokes or seizures. To change the shape of the pupil, something extraordinary has to be taking place within the head cavity.

Haha, yeah ive had her to the vet, just not for this problem. Coloboma looks EXACTLY like what she has, and its been there for just about forever. I just never thought anything about it because its never seemed to bother her or change. I was just sort of wondering what it was for future reference.
