My husband and I both volunteer at our local Humane Society almost every weekend. We work primarily with socializing the cats there.
We came in one Saturday in March and found a malnurished fawn Aby...now known as Micah, in my signature.
Turns out, this breeder brought in four abys to be fixed, left two there, took two home. Of the two she left, one died during her spay.
Micah survived but had chronic diarreah - which we now know to be IBD. Micah will be four years old this fall and was basically a breeding machine.
I just recently was looking though his paperwork that we got when we adopted him and stumbled accross the breeders name!! After trying to get it out of any employee that would tell me, I was thrilled to find it.
But...I don't know what to do with it. When we adopted my Micah, the HS didn't say it was illegal to drop off breeder cats. (I REALLY don't understand why...they should have some sort of regulation..but thats MHO.)
Any ideas on what to do?? I don't want any more cats just abandoned.
