Copywright question

Thread Starter
I have found a quote that I would like to add under my name when I post. It is from a book of quotes and the quote is from the 1700-1800s.

There is a name with it. Is this a problem? Copywright?

Any quote found in a book of quotes is public domain, especially if it's that old. Even if there were copyrights it would be fine for you to use as long as you don't make money off it, just like you ARE allowed to record NFL games without the express written consent of the NFL and ABC, as long as you're not rebroadcasting them.
