Hooray!!

This weekend we borrowed my aunt's Costco card, went there, and bought a bag of the Kirkland's Adult Maintenance food. She LOVES it!! Thankfully not as much as the Cat Chow food we were giving her before (she would eat upwards of 2c of it if we let her), but she actually finishes the 1/2c that she is given each day. When she was on the Solid Gold Indigo Moon, she only ate about 1/4c each day, she just didn't seem to like it much. When we had it mixed with the Cat Chow, she would actually pick around it and leave only Indigo Moon in the bowl. HAHA

We figure, with the amount she eats, we won't have to buy more until April or so. LOL We have the excess in sealed containers so it doesn't go bad, and we have a small amount in a sealed container with her scoop that we feed her from each day, and we'll refill it from the bigger containers as needed. I'm glad we found this food...it seems like a great food, and a great price for us since the bag will last so long.

We only serve her 1/2c each day, 1/4c twice per day...once in the morning and once in the evening. At least with this food she spreads it out evenly. With the Cat Chow stuff she ate it so fast that it was hard for me to tell if my DS fed her in the morning and I didn't want her to go so long between feedings, so I often gave her a 3rd feeding at noon, and sometimes a 4th in the late evening. She was only on that food for a short period (less than 2 weeks) so I don't think it did too much damage. She's held a steady 9lbs since she leveled out from kitten hood, so she's doing good.

Yey Kara! I am so glad you got this food! I know things are tight, and that is a great food for the $$$! I think probably the best for the buck! I also know you use the Vittle vaults, so you should have it fresh for a long while! To top it off.... she loves it! Awesome girl!!!

Yep, we have the excess of her food in a large vittle vault and what we feed her from in a small one. I am also glad that we got this food, I think the ingredients are great.

I LOVE the Kirkland food. My cats as well as the fosters do very well on it and it is so nice to be able to buy decent quality food in bulk, especially for the amount of cats in my household.
