New Kitty in Town

Hi there

Im new proud mummy to my 6 week old little Kitten John.



He has been home nearly 24 hours now. He is eating, playing and sleeping well. My only issue is he keeps suckling near my neck or when he is all snuggled in, this is also the only time he really meows too. I've read up on the suckling, is it right to try and nip this in the bud as he will continue to do so if I let him??

Oh my GOSH! Where was the cuteness warning! How adorable is he? I don't know that much about suckling, but I think I would still let him lie by your neck but maybe get him a little stuffed toy? I think the suckling might be from missing his momma.

Ah great this has really helped. He has refrained from suckling on me now and turned his attention to clothing or blanket when he is having cuddles x
