My very favorite cartoon ever is "Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends". It's the best!

When I was little I watched Strawberry Shortcake, The Smurfs, Belle and Sebastian, Gummi Bears. . .and I'm sure there were others but that's all I can remember right now.

I don't remember what our TV looked like. Just a regular 1980s TV I suppose.

Not much for one for cartoons. was 7 years younger then brother-he was pretty fair and I pretty easy till I got older so for most part I would watch whatever he watched.

Tv was bought a few years before I was born so probably late 70's. the vcr under neath on the metal basic tv stand we had till it died for about 15 years. Wide as the bottome of the tv. Rewind went first then fast fwd so we had a machine to just do that. now a vcr is a 5 garage sale find if that. But when it went there were three school age kids so it wasn't top priority

If 'cartoon' includes anime, Bleach is definitely #1. If not, ReBoot. It was/is absolutely amazing.

I still have my first TV. It was made in the early 60's, so it's about 20 years older than I am

Oh wow--this is really going to reveal my age!! I liked Rocky and Bullwinkle, Top Cat,(of course), Johnny Quest, and the Bugs Bunny show, and Beany and Cecil. Anybody remember those?? Our first TV was a huge contraption with doors that you could shut over the screen. It was a black and white and I think we only had 2 or 3 channels.

Trapped in the catroom! ;o)
Hmmm lets see to this very day my favorite ever cartoon is the Care Bears movie Alice In Wonderland. I also really like the My Little Ponys movie with the green slime...come to think of it I just found one of those VHS tapes at my moms house with those recorded on it....I should check and see if its both movies or just one.

Our first tv was a floor model that swiveled. It was color but I only remember that one from as far back as when we lived in NC I dont know if its the same one we had when I was born in ND back in 84.

I remember! I loved Rocky & Bullwinkle, and the old Popeye cartoons (the ones where Bluto's name was still Bluto, before they changed it to Brutus).

Your tv sounds like ours, minus the doors. I can remember when we got cable tv in 1970; it cost $4.95 a month and my 3 brothers all chipped in to pay for it. Before that, we got 2 channels.

My favorite one was called the gummi bears- it was about these bears that lived underground and had a magic potion that could give them the power to jump around really high and get really bouncy
It was sooo cute! And one of the little bears- the pink one, reminded me of a pink teddy bear toy I had that I kept with me while I slept and took it everywhere I went, and I think maybe that's why I loved the show so much!
And as far as our first TV- I just remember it was black.

I also kind of liked the pink panther cartoon, that was rarely on TV when I was growing up because it was pretty old, but I remember really enjoying it. I'm talking about the one where the main character is an actual pink panther, it was really cute

And, I loved Tom and Jerry which was also really old at the time and they only very occasionally showed re runs, until we started getting cartoon network classic where they showed it all the time- I became addicted!

I remember those! Big Johnny Quest fan here. I remember Top Cat and Rock and Bullwinkle. All the Looney Tune characters. The old Speed Racer series. Tom and Jerry. I don't really have a favorite cartoon; I liked them all.

I remember all of those as well as Huckleberry Hound, Yogi Bear and Quickdraw McGraw. And now I am gonna show my age - Rocky and Bullwinkle came along when I was old enough to understand the Cold War humour. Also loved, and still do, the Flintstones

First TV here was a 'portable' complete with a handle although you needed to be SUperman to lift the thing. We had one channel that went on at noon, and ran to 10ish, then came another channel. still can only get those two with an arial alone.

My favorite cartoon is George of the Jungle, although Rocky and Bullwinkle is way up there. I have some of them on VHS tapes which I still watch from time to time.

Our first TV was a black and white "console". It was a huge rectangular wood box that had a TV in the middle, a radio on one side and a phono on the other with big speakers surrounding the TV in the front.

I don't really remember my first tv other than it was in the living room and it was color.

Wow I have to think way back since I am now a senior citizen. I do remember loving Popeye. I also remember my favorite comic book was Little Lulu. Our first TV was black and white of course with rabbit ears. There weren't many shows on TV at the time but we loved having it and the shows at that time were all live.

I remember watching The New Adventures Of Winnie The Pooh every Saturday morning, and Muppet Babies after it.

I liked Scooby Doo. I liked Looney Tunes, Tom & Jerry.

The t.v. lasted a long time. It just died a couple of weeks ago. I remember when I got it I was like 4 or 5, whatever I was little enough to jump in the box, and play with the styrofoam that it came in! I think I was more interested in the box than the t.v. that day.

Hope no one minds if I throw this question in; anyone else remember when the tv station signed off at midnight and played the National Anthem? And then all you could 'watch' on tv was a test-pattern or 'snow'?
Ahhhh, the good old days.

I never really liked Johnny Quest, and I don't know Beany and Cecil. But Rocky & Bullwinkle, Looney Tunes, and Pink Panther were always my favorites.

And I don't remember the national anthem... but I remember a lot of "snow."

We just had a boxy b&w TV. I remember we were so excited when my parents decided to get a TV with a remote control (but they still didn't want to pay for color.
). The "clicker" had... four buttons on it? And it CLICKED when you pushed the buttons.
