need advice on getting another cat.

Do you think a 2 year old female would create problems between or with two males, 6 and 7? We lost Fang in September, and we all still miss him but I can foster this cat, and thought maybe it would be a good thing, but I am not sure.

I like the idea of injecting a little life into our sad existance, but I don't want to upset the apple cart too much.

Fang was our glue. I thought all of them wanted to be with me, but now I know they wanted to be with Fang, who wanted to be with me.

This cat is supposed to be very affectionate, so my concerns are that she will bond with me and they will get jealous, or one of them(probably Pansy) will bond with her, creating a riff between them.

Any insight?
\\thanks

I think it would be a great idea, especially if the cat is really friendly. If the new cat is friendly towards you, your other cats will see her get doted upon and realize they want some of that too.

I'm sorry to hear about Fang.

You should give it a try. It does depend on your other cats. You can judge best, because you know them. Like I know Luna will accept another cat right away. She's very welcoming of other cats. I'm not so sure about Midnight I think it will take him a little while to adjust. I plan on giving it a try later on, because I'm looking for a specific cat.
