If anyone can spare some vibes or prayers for my bud, Buddy today that would be appreciated.

He has to have 2 or 3 teeth extracted. Will probably be there overnight. First time any of my cats have had to have this done.

I felt so bad this am putting him in the bathroom while the others ate.

Thanks guys!

Prayers/thoughts coming your way. I am going to have to go through this myself in a month or two with Domino. If it makes you feel better, my Mama had to have a couple removed that were broken. She made it through just fine

Buddy!

When I have to fast a cat, I don't feed anyone until I get home from bringing the fasted cat in.

Tolly has had extractions several times. He gets buprenex for pain, but doesn't usually need it for more than a day.

Keep us posted on Buddy!

Funny Mama had broken teeth, so does Bud, right at the gum. These teeth sure get to be a prob in older kitties. Makes me feel better to hear she came through good. Thanks

Thanks Otto for your reply. We have a really weird food system here. I go to bed about 8pm and therefore get up about 2:30 or 3 am. They have their last meal at 5 pm. So by the time I get up, they are ready to eat. Very ready!!

So I stumble in the kitchen, make up their plates. I always put everything out before I go to bed. That way, it's easier instead of hunting for a fork at 3 am to scoop the food out of the can!

If I wait, all you know what will break loose!

Like I told you...it's weird. But thanks for the good thoughts. He is my buff boy. Just a nice cat.

PS They also get fed at noon. They are so mistreated!

Any news on Buddy yet?

My feeding system is complicated too, but one of the convenient things about it is the cats are never fed until I have been up for at least an hour, and usually longer. So when someone is being fasted, they don't even know it!

more for Buddy

Oh thats funny! It would work for me if I snuck outside....and right now it's getting down to 20 degrees at night! I love my cats, but don't want to catch pneumonia!

Have to call at 5:30.

Thanks for the vibes!

Hopefully everything is going smoothly. I am also getting nervous. We have our first dental and extractions coming up. I have not told Ossi yet because he will sure get nervous - and go bonkers about fasting. He's our early morning serenade winner every time.

Let us know how it's going.

Thanks all for the kind words and vibes for my old Bud.

He is resting comfortably on a heating pad at the vets. Still a bit groggy at 5 pm, but doing fine.

They extracted 3 teeth, and also drew blood for a panel to check all his organ functions. Easily done while under anesthesia (sp?)

So he will be coming home tomorrow, will call in am for a good time.

So three teeth extracted, 35.00 each; full dental exam, anesthesia, hospitalization, meds 289.00 and the blood panel, 85.00. Roughly 480.00. Thank goodness for Care Credit. I just paid my balance of too!

Oh well, not too bad.

Thanks again all!

Thanks for letting us know how Buddy is doing. He'll feel so much better without those nasty teeth.

I'm glad he's doing well.
I always find the dentals a bit nerve-wracking. Lots of hugs for Buddy.
