CD-EASY INSTRUMENTALS
Channel Name: CD 24
http://www.dishnetwork.com/packages/...?channel=50231
-----------------------------------

About 2 months ago i began leaving this Dish channel "CD-EASY INSTRUMENTALS" on at night.

2 months later,by popular demand i now "have to" have it on every night til morning.

The cats love listening to the music. They fall into a deep sleep. When the channel is not on during the day, i often find the cats sitting next to the TV speakers, i would assume they are waiting for the music to come on again.

My cable company has a selection of digital music channels and I leave "light" classical music on when I'm not home.

I leave Soundscapes (Comcast/XFinity) on when I'm gone - sort of new agey, soft music - seems very popular with my two.

That's so cool that your cats listen to music and like it!

We have music channels, we have 1 that plays Christmas music each year. We made sure that was on all the time for Lynxx while he was sick. He listened to it every year, I wanted to make sure he heard it again this year. I don't know whether he liked it or not. He never really responded to music. He did respond to 1 music at the end of a movie once but that was it.

Luna and Midnight so far haven't responded to any music.

I only play a classical music station at home. And often I have nothing on as I like the quiet and I live in a very quiet neighborhood.

If I have a cat confined, alone, I will put the classical music station on low for them.

I play the cello and it is interesting how different cats react to in. Some definitely like it and come in to the room when I'm practicing and lie nearby. Others hate it with a passion and leave the area - even going as far away as possible in the house to get away from that awful noise.

I try not to take it personally as a commentary on my playing.

That's very different to recorded music. They can actually feel the vibrations off of anything preformed live. An example of this is my lizards, they don't really respond to recorded music but will respond to an instrument being played in the room with them (because they have very limited hearing ability).

I haven't noticed any preference in music from my cats, only a preference in sleeping spots. During the day they all nap in the bedroom together and when we're gone they spend a good amount of time in there together, too.

I have a radio tuned into the classical station in with my ferals to help calm them down, and also to help them get used to human voices (the announcers).
