My longhaired girl is 4 years old, and I just noticed tonight that she's got a balding spot above her right eye, basically where her "eyebrows" are. It doesn't seem to bother her, but it bothers *me*. It looks a bit inflamed too. Is this something that's pretty normal for cats (I know the fur is thin there to start with), or something I should bring her to the vet's for?
Could this be an auto-mutilation thing? Our toddler takes up a LOT of our time, so she probably feels fairly neglected... or she can sense #2 on the way?? Maybe Poppy is our early pregnancy detector??
