Isn't dry food with wheat and corn gluten meal bad? I have always heard a dry food should not have corn, gluten, wheat or soy in it.
You do know this is a cat forum, right? And he was asking about wheat and corn gluten being bad for CATS?Originally Posted by JonyLeaber
Wheat gluten is not good for dogs.
It causes skin problems, and other illnesses.
So, no, it's not infected, but in the long run, your dog will get just as sick.
Switch to a better brand. Look into Innova, California Natural, Artemis, Wellness and Canidae. All are great, all have websites.
As to vomiting and peeing a lot. If the puppy doesn't have shots or the puppy is under 5 pounds, go to the vet just to be safe.
If it's an older/bigger pup, wait 24 hours and see if it gets worse.

Corn Gluten Meal is the inner portion of the corn kernel. Easily digestible, it does aid in balancing out the PH in the urine as sharky said.Originally Posted by buckeyefan

Some of the Non Rx diets started out with the intent of being RX ... but at a point decided to give an ounce of preventionOriginally Posted by SweetPea24
I can see the purpose corn gluten meal would provide especially in rx foods but not in a regular diet. Yes corn has protein but is it a complete protein? I don't know but i would guess not. I've read that corn isn't as allergenic as wheat but there is still the potential. So that is why i try to avoid it. I cant with my crf cat unfortunately.
