I got Joey as a 6week old kitten. We bonded instantly...he was the best kitten ever. He was cuddly and adorable and purred more/louder then any kitten I have ever seen. I spoiled him bad, and he lapped it up. He was playful but also loved to cuddle, sleep on laps and in beds. He is now almost 8 months old. Once he was neutered he settled down even more! Every morning when I get up and spend a little time on the computer he sleeps on my lap, and cries if he can't get into it. He sleeps on my legs at night, and follows me around during the day.
I work from home and used to have lots of time to spend with my cats before my daycare took off. I was only watching a couple kids, and didn't have kids in my house every day so some days he had lotttts of time sitting with me.
In the past week I have gotten three more daycare kids...and now have kids here from 5am until 730 pm. If kids are sleeping/napping, I am picking up, cooking, washing, a million other things. This past week, Joey has been following me around crying until I pick him up. if I sit to read stories to the kids, he climbs into my lap and purrs and settles while I read. He is so freaking cute!! I miss him

I feel like a bad kitty mommy sometimes. The cats all really do get a lot of attention but its so sad when Joey jumps onto a counter to get my attention and cries til I can pick him up

yep, before we were the guardians of - now 8 - cats, I often wondered when I heard that cats were "loners" - if that was true (?)

but, I can attest that they are very social, with each other, and with the people who love them

our first cat, after about 15 years, was rescued by my daughter who couldn't keep him - he was about 2 months old when we adopted him - I had to carry him everywhere and was thinking about investing in a baby sling

today, he is still a cuddle bug - even sleeps between me and my husband on his own pillow (it's colder now - so he seeking body warmth, I'm sure)

sounds like Joey might need meowmommy to get a baby sling
