Indoor/outdoor question

I have an old feral male ( or long time stray)and it's taken about 7 months to gain his trust. He started to venture inside the house if I left the door propped open. Now he likes to come in and stay a while.
Now that it's getting cold I was wondering if letting him inside, where it's warm, and then putting him back out in the cold would effect his health. He's usually in no longer than an hour, or so.
Thanks

Unlike humans, who lose immunity going from warm to cold temperatures repeatedly, cats have their fur to regulate their body temperatures more evenly. You will be fine letting him in and out, even if he only stays an hour. I have a feeling he will stay much longer during winter though, maybe a few hours at a time (if it's currently his own choice to leave, which it sounds like it is)

I think I'll go let him in...
