Well, here it is, 7:47pm and I just remembered I haven't posted the QOTD.

Well, here it is, such as it is... lol

Do you like to cook? What is your favorite dish to prepare?

I love to cook but hate the clean up. My "specialty" is my chili. DH loves it and will eat on it for a week.

Sometimes i like to cook. I really like food, I guess my favorite food to make is pasta.
I just think you can be as creative as you want with pasta and you never need to worry about following a recipe, that's what I love about it.

I like to cook for the most part. I don't really have a specialty dish. But mostly it's just me and the cats here so I don't have to make anything special.

I enjoy cooking just not the dishes that follow. My specialty would have to be homemade chicken and dumplings and sugar cookies. I make a mean cookie.

I simply love to cook and I love to feed people. I make so many things that I don't really have a trademark or signature dish. My sister and brother will fight over my layered salad when I bring it to potlucks and picnics. I make a shredded barbecued beef that a lot of people seem to enjoy; four hours in the oven turns a boneless chuck roast into a delicious sandwich.

I love making yeast breads and have a varied selection of breads and rolls in the freezer all the time. And since my DH is the original cookie monster, I am always baking cookies for him.

I don't enjoy cooking AT ALL, but I can make a pretty good stir fry.

I have to be in the mood to enjoy cooking, (like for Thanksgiving I definitely was ) lately hubby has come home and cooked dinner while I do school stuff.

My favorite to make is probably pork loin or penne lasagna

Like to cook for myself and ppl who are not fussy. My mom and friend are 2 that would probably eat a half frozen dinner

I make mac n cheese on the stove all the time for myself husband thinks im nuts as he was raised with leftovers for lunch and a full dinner everynight.

I tend to do my own things can't follow a recipe to well(it annoys me after first few ingredients as I will start to add wrong thing/wrong time...or leave out the salt....)

I look forward to it now -Well, more so than in years past. One easy recent recipe of my own was tuna steak with Bragg's vinaigrette. Very nice. I gave Daisy some of the steak before I put Bragg's on it. The little seafood eater! In the past I'd be very very hesitant to try experiments in cooking because it usually meant wasting time and double money. Double because of the cost of the "inedible experiment" in addition to the cost of the food that you wind up eating.

My slow-cooker pulled/shredded beef recipe (Lipton's dry onion soup mix, ketchup, mustard, 1 cup of water, 1 diced onion. Pour all ingredients over the roast in a slow-cooker; cook on HIGH at least 5 hours; 8 is much better. Add 1 cup of water at a time, if it dries out; shred when done. Serve on buns, with a little of the gravy, over mashed potaoes, rice, noodles, etc.).

It's so simple to make, but it smells heavenly while cooking, and everyone loves it. There are also a lot of leftovers for the week, and it freezes well. And, you can always have the ingredients on hand (we buy beef roasts BOGO when they go on sale, and stash in our chest freezer).

Not really, but I do enjoy the slow cooker.
