Friday after turkey day was Zoey Woey's 6th gotcha day( Yes some shop the day after Turkey day I adopt )...I have no idea where the years have gone it seems like yesterday I brought home the tiny , chubby girl... She is no longer tiny ( normal to upper normal) and definitely not chubby( she had just been spayed from a litter and nursing several ) ... She approved what I said as she is supervising this posting

Friday is also Dahlia Moria s Second gotcha day... Life is made interesting daily by her still ... I love my squeaky girl ..

Happy Gotcha Day to the Lovely Red headed ladies of my life !

They got a Child's tent tunnel combo for presents that I got this year on black friday instead of a cat

Only once before last year did I ever shop for ANYTHING on Black Friday. One year I went at 7 a.m. and bought a lighted artificial Christmas tree. I had been looking at them at multiple stores for the two weeks before, so I had the one I wanted picked out. I went early, got it, and was home before 8:00 a.m.

But last year, 2009, I got my Ariel and my Lily. I had been working on choosing them, also, for a couple of weeks before. I thought about Ariel for several months before I adopted her. She has some personality "issues" that kept her at the shelter from kittenhood for over 3 years. But she was best friends with my Sherman (who so sadly passed away last spring), and he needed her. She was only $50 because she had been there so long.

Lily won my little, black, female DSH contest. There were 6 or 8 contestants. I kept going back to figure out which one. I was very torn between the 3 finalists. I didn't know which one was IT, until I went on Black Friday morning to get them. Lily was only $50, too, as a black cat Black Friday special.

All those little black, female DSH contestants were adopted long ago (I helped get some of them adopted by showing them to people and singing their praises) except for the 1st runner up - Tonya. She's just too shy. She came home with me 10 weeks ago.
