She died this afternoon. I know this will sound terrible, but I'm glad. I'm glad that she is at peace now and doesn't have to live like that any longer. There will be no memorial service or funeral. She wanted to be cremated and she didn't want any kind of service at all. We've made all the arrangements.

My sister and I are going up to our dad's tonight to tell him.....she was his sister and his only surviving sibling.

I'm OK. Honest.

Thank you for your thoughts.

My prayers and sympathy go to you and your family. I know what you mean, my mom died last month and I watched her go downhill for a long time. No one should go through that, but I was relieved when she passed and I am convinced that she was to.

My mom used to say all the time "It is not wrong to pray for death" and she was an extremely religious woman.

I totally understand not wanting her back to suffer like she did.

God bless her.

I'm so sorry hun but I can understand your thoughts if your Aunt was suffering, still doesn't make it any easier that a loved one has passed.

It is not terrible at all to want someone to love to no longer suffer.
I am thinking of you and your family sweetheart.

Having working in longterm for eight years and now working on a med/surgery/oncology floor I understand why you didn't want the suffering to continue. And I am truly sorry for the pain you all will feel in her loss. I will be thinking of you.
