I have been very stressed at work lately and this morning I went to work and saw a good friend of mine/co worker called "Ruth". After venting a bit to her about how I had to work during my thanksgiving vacation, I walked into my cube to do some work. After a while, I noticed that there were some papers on the desk behind my laptop which was odd since those papers were supposed to be on my cube wall held by clips. I looked up and about DIED from shock!
There were 2 pictures (folded out pictures from a magazine) on my cubicle of 2 hotties!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They are from a tv show that I had gotten Ruth addicted to and now we watch it together every week. It's called "The Vampire Dairies" and the 2 main male characters are sooooo hot!
These pictures were the LAST things I ever expected to see on my cube wall so I just lost it and laughed until I cried. I guess I really needed it. Went over to Ruth and told her thanks for giving me eye candy to look at and she laughed. She said it was about time I noticed the additions. She had to hurry and post them while I was making copies then waited and waited for me to notice. LOL. My boss heard me laughing and came over to see what was going on. Told him to look and see if he could figure it out himself. He grinned and said, "Your men huh?"
This is not the first time I have found "gifts" in my cube.
For some reason, it seems that some people like to leave surprises or additions to my cube. A while ago, I noticed that someone had put up a poster from an event that I had gone to. I KNOW it wasn't me!! A couple months ago, I noticed some kind of toy perched on top of my clock. I've found a plastic cat toy on my desk. I've asked around to see who were doing these but with no luck. Many times, I have found chocolate candy on my desk (I am well known for my addiction to chocolate and often tell people that if they want to bribe me, that chocolate is the way to go). I know I am the only one this happens to since I've asked some other co workers if they have had gifts or surprises left and they all said nope. One got a bit miffed that she didn't get any gifts or surprises so I stopped asking and just enjoyed the surprises.
Does something (pranks, gifts, etc) like this happen to you at work? If so, I'd love to hear your stories.
