Urinating inside

I have 6 cats ranging from 8 mos. to 10 years of age. All are fixed and for the most part get along great. We have a cat door for them to go in and out as they wish and all are trained to go outdoors to do their business. My 2 year old Calico however has decided to pee in the same spot on my tile floor in the kitchen for the last few weeks. I need help as to how to remedy this problem. I don't want to be cruel and rub her nose in it and such. Can anyone help me out with this?

First thing isto take her to the vet to get her checked for an Urinary Track Infection. Cats don't just start peeing on the floor just because... When it istart like this, out of the blue, it is almost like for a medical reason... With an UTI, it hurts to pee and they associate it with the litter box - they "think" it is not going to hurt if they pee outside of it, and there is the problem you have...
6 cats, 7 litter boxes... How many do you have? I know that is a lot, but make sure to have plenty...
Non- scented litter is also the best - what litter are you using?
Uncovered litterboxes work best - are your boxes covered or uncovered?
Cleanliness - are you cleaning them at least once a day?
Size - are they big enough?
Where are they located? Laundry room and garages are not a good place as it can startle the kitties... Closets are not good place either...
Did anything change? Litter? New kitten? Anything that has added stress in the household?
Make sure to clean the spot with a good enzyme cleaner...
Good luck!

It does sound like a UTI. Cats that start to pee on cold hard surfaces are doing it because it feels better to pee there than in a litter box. I have a cat that has chronic UTI's and I can always tell when he flairs up because he pees on my kitchen floor. I've been right 100% of the time with him.

I agree with the advice from Carolina. If all of that doesn't work, try Cat Attract litter. It draws a cat to a litter box better than any other litter out there.
