Ok, I got sucked in! I saw a kitchen gadget on a TV commercial and decided I just had to order it!!

https://chefbasket.com/

It should arrive in 3 to 6 weeks. I'll let you know how it works. I upgraded to the stainless steel instead of the flimsy aluminum one. It was $7.00 extra.

I ended up ordering it through their web site because I had forgotten the phone number. They try to suck you in to buying other things through the check out. Each new page had some offer with "YES PLEASE" in a big red button, and "no thanks" in teensy weensy font in a colour so light it was easy to miss. I managed to avoid the land mines and only ordered what I went there for

Let us know how it is! I saw the ad a few days ago and naturally fell in love with it. I was all set to order one and then pay the extra shipping and get an second one free. Well, not exactly free, but....

I sure will! It comes with 2 baskets and some knife. To upgrade to stainless steel it's $6.99 each, but then you get free shipping and handling. So basically it works out the same. You can pay S&H and get the flimsy ones, or pay the upgrade and get the better ones without S&H.

I don't order very much from infomercials. I have, but not in a very long time. This is the first thing that has come along that looked like it really had a purpose in my kitchen.

I wish the holes were a little smaller though. I don't think it would be very good for spaghetti. But for boiling potatoes, larger pasta, or even a pot roast, I think it will be ideal. And what I like most of all is how it collapses flat! I don't have much cupboard space for things, so flat is good!

bet its the christmas post that's made it delayed, I didn't realise this post was quite old I must have missed it first time but I just clicked on the link and I noticed an ad for a stick up bulb-a light that sticks on the wall operated by batteries, they sell them at our £1 shop!!I can't see how much it is on here but it will be more than £1!! I like the look of the teeth whitener though.I am a sucker for gimmicks. x

Missed this the first time around. I'm surprised we don't have one. Gary LOVES the "as seen on TV" isle!
And this FOLDS FLAT and we live in an RV!

I agree - I expect the holidays are slowing things down.

I missed this the first time around, too. It does look like a very useful gadget. They do try to suck you in. All I did was open the web page from the link and look at the ad. Didn't click on anything else. When I tried close the tab I got a pop-up window saying "Wait! You didn't finish your order."

All I got was an "Are you sure you want to navigate away from this website" message.

I got that, too.

My husband is a sucker for these "seen on TV". If it wasn't for me our house would be filled with that crap. As it is, we have the Titan Peeler and a Slap Chop. Don't use either one very much. I prefer using a paring knife to peel and really prefer my favorite knife to chop....I only have to wash one item.

Who doesn't love those As Seen on TV items? I used to be a sucker for every one I saw, but then I heard that the hero of the infomerical, Billy Mays, LIED about Oxy-Clean AND the Ding King! In fact, after I looked it up, almost every one of the producs he sold was faulty. Goes to show how amazing of a seller he is. "BILLY MAYS HERE! YELLING AT YOU AS I TALK EXTRA FAST UNTIL YOU BREAK DOWN AND BUY A (insert product here)."

This basket does look amazing though, it may have to join the Slap Chop as one of the few TV gizmos I own and love.

I love the "as seen on tv" sections of stores. There is even an "As Seen on TV" store in our mall! I REALLY want to get one of these pillows b/c I can only sleep on a flat (like old and used flat, the part my head lays on is about 1/2 inch thick) otherwise I get a really bad headache. I haven't been able to change my pillow for years and years. Every time I've tried I only last a night or two. I need something that will come preflattened or will conform to the shape of my head.

They have one at Walgreens, and I begged my husband to get it on Christmas day. I was SO excited to see it, I ran squealing over to it. LOL Yes, I'm a dork.

Anyone buy any of the products you see in informercials? Many stores now carry those items so the fear of the huge S&H charges are over.

I have the brownie maker that I LOVE. I am one who loves the chewey sides of brownies and this is perfect for me.

I also bought the Pasta Boat. I like it. It takes a tad longer to cook my pasta but I don't have to stir it all the time in the boiling pot. Plus, draining is much nicer.

I would like to get the big cupcake maker next.

Have you ever bought anything As Seen on TV?

It arrived! Just picked it up this evening. I'm going to try it out this weekend. Not sure with what! But I'm going to try it out. It's really light and it folds really flat which is nice because I don't have a great deal of cupboard space for pots/pans. At least none that are very accessible.

It came with a knife too. It's pretty light weight but has a serrated edge, so hopefully it's sharp.

Nice. Let us know how you like it. I would store it in a large see-through freezer bag to prevent snagging. Not in the freezer of course.
I mean whereever you choose to store it.

Let me just say one thing about another as-seen-on-TV product - Mighty Mend It - On a scale of 1-10 I give it a 7/8 but it's a hassle to use. Not in love with it.
