Post Spay Accommodation Question

Queen Eva will be staying overnight after her spay on Monday (tomorrow). When I bring her home Tuesday morning I can stay with her for a few hours but then will have to leave for work.

Should I bring her Castle (large dog crate) in, set it up in the living room and leave her in there, with a cozy bed, shredded newspaper litter, food and water..

Or should I shut her up in the bathroom where she'll have more room but will not be able to interact with the other cats.

She's used to being in the Castle, when outside (though we haven't been out in several weeks).

I just want her safe, and having the least amount of stress.

It's been 20 years since I had a spayed kitten and I don't remember what I did at that time.

Hmmmm, good question! For how long will you be gone? If it's just a few hours, she'll probably be okay out and about. She'll probably sleep most of the day anyway. (yeah, right!) If you have to go to work and will be gone longer, I'd probably do the castle thing so she can see and be seen by the others.

I don't know, and I don't have any advice. It's been longer than 20 years since I went through this.

I just want you to know that I'll be thinking about you and QE tomorrow. I thoroughly believe it will all be fine, but I understand your anxiety. I'd feel the same way.

Best wishes!

Thanks for your replies. I will be out about 7 hours give or take. Queen Eva will be staying overnight after the spay. I will bring her home Tuesday morning and will be able to be with her until about 2:30.

I brought her Castle inside, and will set it up all nice for her, if I decide to put her in there rather than the bathroom.

Gah, I'll be glad when this is over. I have asked Ootay and my other Bride Angels to not ever send me another kitten.
