He gave you a kiss and sent you to bed!! How are the girls not going to love this gorgeous big fella?
Well - they might be a bit intimidated by his size!

What an adorable boy! And it sounds like he is transitioning nicely!

He is so adorable. I have such a soft spot for red tabby boys, the bigger, the better.I am glad Wendel is fitting in so well. There is just something so special about a loving red boy.
As far as the battle scars, those are just character marks. My dearest cat ever, Fred, looked like a beat up old alley cat, you would never know he was a spoiled lap cat almost from birth.
Please keep the updates and pics coming.

When Wendel gives love, it is going to come from his heart.
He's perfect in a street smart kind of orange boy way.

congratulations.

Hopefully I'll have more of an update tonight. Mike's taking Wendel to the vet for a wellness check today and to get micro-chipped. He's still a big loving lump and now seems to like sprawling across you lap to get his loves.

Once the vet gives him the all clear, we'll start introductions...which is the part I'm a bit more nervous about since I know my Freya and she's not going to be amused for the first little while...

Oh, he's a big adorable baby! I hope your introductions go very well and that Freya doesn't hiss too much! Wendel looks like a sweetie. And I love how he kissed you and told you to go to bed! for a long and happy life with Wendel!

Spooky still hisses at Chumley. It takes her about six months to get over being really hissy, and a full year to accept the "new" kitty isn't going anywhere.

We live on Bach's Rescue Remedy and Feliway.

Well, today was day three of us integrating Wendel and the girls. We've been really careful, but so far have only had 2 moments of Freya swatting at Wendel and him swatting back (both cases because he startled her on her blind-side and had his back to a wall so couldn't back off). Right now they're pointedly ignoring one another, although Wendel has been trying to be friends, which seems to confuse Freya.

Sybil has been a bit easier for him to get along with.

Each of the older outside kitties we've rescued (Billy and Chumley) the last two years have wanted to be friends - and our kitties are wondering what the heck is wrong with them.

(And Sybil looks sooooo darling there!)

After Mike had gone back to bed and we calmed down Freya and Sybil, I went to sit with Wendel for a bit to get him to stop crying. So I'm sitting on the floor in my PJs at 2:30am with this giant orange cat rolling all over my lap and purring and grunting at me while I pet him...well I must have fallen asleep sitting up, because the next thing I know he's behind me with one paw braced on my back and tapping me on the shoulder with the other. This story made me both smile and tear up! What a treasure he is, your busted kitty!

There is something about Red boys and Tuxedo girls. They always seem to be in love with each other.

Awww... He is handsome! I wish him the best of luck fitting in with everyone. Sometimes the best additions are unplanned. My Chyna girl came to us partially bald and puking after everything she ate... now the puking has eased up and the hair has filled in. she is very loving as long as she comes and climbs on you, she doesn't like to be picked up or grabbed.

I think slightly busted kitties are the best.

He's a handsome guy and how wonderful of you to add him to your family.
