That's three pills and SubQ treatments for those of you keeping count. Hopefully Sasha's appetite and behevior (litter box-wise) improves once the infection clears...

Dr White told me to discontinue Lysine treatments until we can figure out something he'll take; if he won't eat the food with the Lysine it's counter-productive, better a Sasha that eats without the Lysine than a Sasha who eats very little with the Lysine...

Any additives to the wet food makes him back away, even fish oil supplements!

Here's hoping the vet can find some meds that Sasha will go for. I suppose it's like human medicine - some people just react better to certain meds than others. Here's hoping Sasha feels better very soon - and thank you and your family for working so hard to give him a chance.

He's my little buddy! Old or not I love the little rascal, him and my new kiten Tiggy!

I tried adding a tiny, tiny bit of Wild Fish oil supplement to his food before leaving for work...I'll see how much he's eaten when I get home after work tonight. Otherwise, I'll leave his wet food as is. Pilling him can be a pain in the butt (then again he doesn't mind the butter I use to coat the quatrered pills!) but if they help...I'll pill him!

Zeniquin is the prescription of choice...before bed with a bit of food...this'll be fun...

May cause vomitting or diarhea in rare cases...nice...poor Sasha's already on SubQ treatments to stay hydrated...
