Me too. Happy Thanksgiving to all in the USA.

We're going to get an ice storm so I get to stay home with the cats. I love it when I get to stay home on a holiday, it almost never happens. Usually I have to travel 200 miles give or take, round trip.

I haven't been on lately because I'm struggling with physical therapy and it zaps my energy. Sorry to be missing so many new friends I've made here, but once I do my job, get through physical therapy, and a few things around the house, I am just exhausted.

I just wanted to say hi, and wish everyone happy holidays around the world! I'm in the US, so we're gearing up for Thanksgiving at the in laws later today. My mom is going with us as she does now since dad passed away.

Hope you and yours are doing well - I'm holding good thoughts and positive vibes for everyone!! Hopefully, I'll get better soon, and hang out more often here at the cat site.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!!

The Cinnamon Streusel Muffins are out of the oven for breakfast.

The turkey is in the sink getting to room temp. I will be starting on the stuffing as soon as I wake up a bit more... LOL

The cats are trying to help in the kitchen today, a great scented candle burning, and food cooking away!

I agree I'm much happier spending Thanksgiving with my cats, especially Lynxx. I don't think my Aunt understood that on the phone, but I almost lost Lynxx, there's no way I'm leaving him alone especially on a holiday! My father's side of the family is about 15 minutes away. My mother's side is 3 states away. I do miss spending Thanksgiving with my mother's side of the family, that's usually where we go. I intend to spend Christmas Eve/Day with the cats as well!

Happy Thanksgiving! Let's bring out the turkey!

I'm just curious why do we celebrate thanksgiving? Who do we thank? What do we thank for? Does everyone celebrates it?

Thanksgiving Day Celebration in the United States
It is a time to remember the pilgrims. The original pilgrims celebrated the autumn harvest with a feast of thanks. The feast popularly known as the 'First Thanksgiving Day Feast' was held as a gesture of thanks to almighty God . It was celebrated in the year 1621. After the United States gained independence, Congress recommended one yearly day of thanksgiving for the whole nation to celebrate.
