The vet called back with the results of yesterdays ultra sound for Lynxx. He doesn't have cancer. If he does they weren't able to find it.

The good news is, we're rushing him to the vet's now so she can put a feeding tube in him. They will continue to do tests to find out what is going on with him, but the damage he's done to his liver can be reversed! It's not to late. We don't have to force food down his throat anymore. Thank God because I know we weren't able to get nearly enough in him for him to survive.

We're leaving now, and Lynxx will even be able to come home tonight and be here tomorrow to spend Thanksgiving with us. The vet, and her assistant will stay past closing tonight to do this surgery. I'm very glad we found her, and found her in time!

Thank you everyone on here who has been supporting me and Lynxx through this. Thank you guys so much!

Glad Lynxx doesn't have cancer, but sorry he has to have a feeding tube. Keep us posted on how he's doing.

The vet just called said Lynxx came through the surgery fine.

We're not happy about the feeding tube, but if it's going to fix his liver and make him better again I don't care, I'll do anything for Lynxx. He's been my best friend for 9 years. He's been there for me through so much. I can't not be there for him. I mean I knew the moment we took him home at 8 weeks old that he would 1 day die. I just need that day to be in the far future.

I don't know what did this to him. The vet is certain it's more than just the new kittens because of the rapid weight loss, and because of him losing energy during the Summer before these kittens ever even came here. She will be doing other tests on him to find out. She told us on the phone that she is in shock that there was no cancer. I just hope we find out what ever caused this and are able to fix that as well.

This vet truly does care about her patients, she truly does want to help Lynxx and find what's wrong with him. She even stayed late to help him, she returns all of our calls. I'm sure she does this for her other patients as well.

Our original vets advice to us each time we brought Lynxx to him was just to lock him in another room nothing else not even telling us about Feliway which they sold! I learned about Feliway from you guys and from this vet.

Thank you guys for all of your well wishes.

I know from your other posts that Emmy has a lump and you have to wait until Monday for the results. Don't just only think it's going to be bad. Sometimes the news is good. Believe me I have the worst luck in the world, and I got good news. Let me know how it turns out. Emmy is in our thoughts as well!

Lynxx is home now. He's on his favorite chair resting next to me. He is still very groggy. The feeding tube is in his neck. The vet said he went through the surgery very well.

My father knows how to work the feeding tube and he's going to show me. I do better when I see something done. He has a certain amount that has to be poured in every 6 hours tomorrow. Then the amount increases each day to a certain point for a month.

I don't think Lynxx is in pain. I can't really tell. He's laying here. His eyes are open but I think he might be sleeping because I can see the whites of his eyes. Or maybe this is because he's still recovering from the surgery? and from being put under? He does look terrible though. I feel so bad for him. I just want to make everything right for him.

He can now continue Prozac to help him with adjusting to the other kittens. While the vet tries to find out what caused this. He was slowing down in the Summer even before these kittens came. That's another reason the vet doesn't believe all of this was caused by the kittens.

More purrs for you and Lynxx -hoping he feels better soon and the vet can arrive at the right diagnosis quickly - there are times I so wish cats could talk more directly to us, especially when they're ill.

I've always wished Lynxx could talk. I do believe cats and dogs can understand us.

Right now Lynxx is having some trouble peeing. The feeding tube seems to make him have to go more. He's had some accidents. We clean him up each time, and try to get him to the litter box in time. He's still so weak, but he is able to walk more, he is a little steadier on his feet. He's having a very hard time getting comfortable enough to sleep though. I think if he'd fall asleep for a little while he'd feel better when he wakes up.
