I love my cat

Sorry for the generic title, but that's just about the only way I can describe the warm fuzzy feeling I have towards my BFK (big fat kitty).

Since I have asthma and allergies, Squeaky has always been banned from the bedroom. However, we just moved to a new apartment last month, and the door to the bedroom unfortunately doesn't close very securely. BFK has figured out that if she shoves her body up against the door, she can quietly open it, sneak it and sleep with her mommy and daddy. I woke up this morning to a warm purring puddle sleeping on my upper right shoulder, right next to my ear.

It's like, aww, all she wants to do is sleep with us.

Thankfully, my asthma has been much better in our carpetless apartment, so perhaps Squeaky will be allowed to stay in the bedroom.

What does your cat(s) do that brings out your warm and fuzzy feelings?

I love when Holland crawls under the covers with me when I'm in bed. She snuggles right up against my leg and will stay there for hours.

Aww, I hope she can stay sleeping with you.

Pushy makes me feel all warm and fuzzy when he comes for snuggles. He'll sprawl out across my lap and just looks so content and secure it makes me happy.
Wiggies has a habit of purring loudly when you squeeze him. It's so cute and he keeps doing it everytime, just makes me laugh.

Anytime I am at the computer in the morning, Trout HAS to sit on my lap, she jams her way on even if there is no room She doesn't realize she isn't a tiny kitten anymore.

There are so many things I love Maia for, I wouldn't know where to start.....

Oh I'm so glad she figured out how to open the door and it's not bothering you too much! I really hope it stays that way. I have asthma, but never closed the kitties out of the bedroom - I just can't imagine not having them snuggled in here with us.

My favorite is when I go from the living room to the kitchen for something, I'll pass by my kitten sleeping on the cat tree and give him a pet or two. A few minutes later I'll hear "MEW!" and he'll come running into the living room, jump on my lap and go right back to sleep.

Pixie is a cuddily kitty most of the time, but when the kids are here she hides but as soon as she knows they are gone or in bed she will come out and come love all over me like, I missed you so meowmy and she will sit with me for hours afterwards and I love how she chases my fingers under the sheet playing with me.

You know if you wipe down your BFK every day or two with a damp, clean washcloth, you will reduce her dander enough that it may not bother you at all.

Great thread.

Diva acts like a dog, she will come when I call her, she sits and lies down on command, she likes to talk to me, she will tuck me in at night by doing the thing cats do with their paws when they are happy, and then purr until I fall asleep. She craves attention and loves to sleep on the back of my futon while I am playing video games or on the computer. She will even let me use her as a head rest when playing video games. She is quick to forgive me if I yell at her for something or go to far when rubbing her belly.

She really is the perfect little cat... PLUS she is a tuxedo kitty and is just so darn cute
