hi this may seem a bit random my husbannd certaintly thinks im going mad but i think olly has post vaccination blues if this even exists.

he had his shots on sat evening was his usual mischevious self sunday. Monday and today hes been very lathargic and sleepy and cuddly tried to get him playing with his feather on a string toy which he usually goes beserc for but he just let it fall at his feet.

he has been eating great as always and telling me when he wants feeding too and has been drinking and toileting fine.

does this sound right or is my husband right and im going mad he keeps taking the mikey singing "she talks to the animals" .

also my son has been pretty ill with a chest infectin this week im off work with him could olly be picking up on this and just being a considerate fella.

look forwardto hearing all your input

thank you

Usually when Midnight get's a vaccination he comes home and sleeps for awhile. Luna will take it easy the rest of the day. Lynxx usually just goes about his day.

Maybe your cat is getting sick, he could have caught your sons cold?

When I first got Nadette, she was a stray and had a full round of shots. She slept solidly for 3 weeks, and I was wondering what sort of cat I had gotten, and suddenly she started playing and acting like what I thought was more normal.

I had a cat (for 18 years) that started reacting poorly to vaccinations. As I remember, she would be very lethargic, and maybe even vomit. I told my vet (the same one I go to now) and after that - for about the last 6-8 years of her life - he gave her some kind of steroid (I think) shot before injecting the vaccinations. She never had a bad reaction again.

I'd call the vet.
