This has been the most horrible week of my life! On July 21st, Twinkles drowned and my Uncle Reuban died. We went to his funeral today and on the way home we found Vader dead on the road!
A Tribute To Vader
Vader was my brothers cat, and I tried to convince him to keep Vader indoors and get him neutered. He never did... Vader was a wanderer, but most of the time he was curled up under the porch swing. As soon as I opened the back door he dashed in and went right for the food bowl. When I would open the fridge, he would cry a loud "EEEEEEE!" Eventually, I would give into his demands for a slab of meat. He loved chicken, especially raw chicken breasts.
Vader was a sweet cat, the most friendly towards strangers. He didn't ask for much, just a cup of food and a few pets. He wasn't very playful at all. He'd play occasionally, like with a mouse or wand toy. He loved catnip, he couldn't go a day without it! Vader was a medium sized, very fit kitty. He got his exercise by climing the cherry tree and jumping on the roof. He would lounge up there for hours.
Vader was very sick when we brought him home as a kitten. He was 10 weeks old and had the most nasty eye infection. He was treated by his previous owner since he was 6 weeks old. We later found out thay he had a problem with his tear ducts. He looked like he was always crying, but with a big grin on his face. Vader grew into be a very gentle cat. When he took treats from your hand, he would lick them out. He got along with most of the cats. Him and Twinkles were the very best of friends. They would lay together and chase each other. Peppurr is the alpha, so Vader would always back off!
He was an angel cat sent from heaven. A fighter, a coward, a sweetheart, a winner... all rolled into one.
I will never forget you Vader. May your soul rest in peace and may you be happy until I meet you across the bridge...
Vader died at the young age of 2 years. He will be remembered always...
