This has been the most horrible week of my life! On July 21st, Twinkles drowned and my Uncle Reuban died. We went to his funeral today and on the way home we found Vader dead on the road!

A Tribute To Vader

Vader was my brothers cat, and I tried to convince him to keep Vader indoors and get him neutered. He never did... Vader was a wanderer, but most of the time he was curled up under the porch swing. As soon as I opened the back door he dashed in and went right for the food bowl. When I would open the fridge, he would cry a loud "EEEEEEE!" Eventually, I would give into his demands for a slab of meat. He loved chicken, especially raw chicken breasts.

Vader was a sweet cat, the most friendly towards strangers. He didn't ask for much, just a cup of food and a few pets. He wasn't very playful at all. He'd play occasionally, like with a mouse or wand toy. He loved catnip, he couldn't go a day without it! Vader was a medium sized, very fit kitty. He got his exercise by climing the cherry tree and jumping on the roof. He would lounge up there for hours.

Vader was very sick when we brought him home as a kitten. He was 10 weeks old and had the most nasty eye infection. He was treated by his previous owner since he was 6 weeks old. We later found out thay he had a problem with his tear ducts. He looked like he was always crying, but with a big grin on his face. Vader grew into be a very gentle cat. When he took treats from your hand, he would lick them out. He got along with most of the cats. Him and Twinkles were the very best of friends. They would lay together and chase each other. Peppurr is the alpha, so Vader would always back off!

He was an angel cat sent from heaven. A fighter, a coward, a sweetheart, a winner... all rolled into one.

I will never forget you Vader. May your soul rest in peace and may you be happy until I meet you across the bridge...

Vader died at the young age of 2 years. He will be remembered always...

Oh Sweetie! I'm so sorry! My heart aches for you...so many losses at one time. Vader sounds like a wonderful gentle soul and I'm sure he'll be enjoying himself at the Bridge. May he rest in peace and have many wonderful follicks with the other Bridge residents.

Once again, I'm sorry that you're going through all of this. If you need to shoulder to cry on, or just someone to listen...we are all here for you. Don't hesitate to let it out.
Please take care of yourself! I would hate to hear that you, the baby or both are ill.

I am so worried about my other kitties! With 2 cats passing just days of each other, it makes me worry. What if another passes away? I want this week to end so I can stop worrying about something else going wrong. Why Vader? Why Twinkles?

There are with god now. I gave them every bit of love I had, and then some. My precious angels will never be forgotten. Losing my cats is like losing a family member. There is a hole in my heart, it will heal with the love I have for my other kitties. Life is to precious...

Tasha,

I am so sorry to read of your loss. It must be so hard to cope with yet another loss this week. I think your tribute to Vader was lovely, and hope that your good memories of this wonderful cat will help you through the coming days.

I am so terribly sorry for you. To lose two cats and a family member in such a short time has got to be overwhelming.

I'm sure, though, that Twinkles was waiting right there for Vader when he crossed The Bridge, and that they're playing together even now.

I miss my babies so much! I still can't believe their gone. Peppurr is very upset, he knows that their gone. He has been staring out the window looking for Twinkles. Peppurr is my big baby, without him and you guys of course, I don't think I would be handling this so well. (((HUGS)))

I'm so sorry to hear of you losses. I cannot begin to imagine how terrible you must feel. Try to remember the good times with Twinkles and Vader. I found comfort in organizing pictures of my cats (George who just passed and Molly who is still with us) into a special photo album. I also wrote down all my fondest memories of George, such as catching frogs, ringing his bells to go out, his little love bites to wake me up. . . .

Twinkles & Vader are together now. Try to find peace in that.

They are both with you in spirit. Now and always.

I was watching the Pet Psycic last night. How timely. . . . she was communicating with a cat that had passed. She explained to the owner how it had died (it was a mystery) and also told her that his spirit was right beside her on the sofa. She also said that animals do not want to die alone so their spirits leave their bodies before they die. I found it quite interesting. I do believe in the afterlife. I went to a John Edward show a few months ago and he communicated with some pets that had passed.

Your pain will ease in time. Give your other remaining kitty lots of love and attention. Talk to her and explain what happened to her kitty friends.

Laurie,

I loved your idea of sorting through the photographs of a lost cat. It hurts to do it, but it also helps to release some of those feelings too, whilst remembering the good times.

Tasha - sorry to be jumping in so late with this. This must have been a truly horrible week for you, I'm so sorry you've had to suffer these losses in your family, both human and feline.

Twinkles and Vader will leave a huge hole - remember your other kitties, give them much love for they will know something is wrong.

Vader was a beautiful boy - keep strong, I'm sure he knows how much you're missing him.

I am so sorry,

Know that your love and compassion meant a great deal to your Uncle Rueben, to Twinkles , and to Vader. I cannot even begin to imagine what it must be like to lose three loved ones in such a short space of time.

What a beautiful cat!! I'm very sorry for your loss, it soo hard to lose a family member. They become your kids!! It is soo young to have your cat die. I know how you feel to lose a cat, I had to put my cat down because she had kidney faliure and she was only 13yrs old. For me that too young to die. I miss her soo much.
