And maybe a bit of comfort.

Long story short, about 2 weeks ago my 12 year old (almost 13 year old) Siamese tried jumping on my lap while I was on the computer. She fell short, and landed on her back. She doesn't miss very often, and even if she does she catches herself before she lands on the ground (The distance she fell was only 2 feet if that). Only thing is she didn't land on her feet, and she layed there for a good 20 seconds just staring at me with wide eyes. I had to pick her up from the ground, I feel awful because I chuckled. She now won't eat or drink. We've taken her to the vet, but that was 1 week ago, and she hasn't gotten any better. He doesn't know what wrong with her.

At first I thought she was getting sick, so I seperated all the other cats from her, but that wasn't it. She will only eat about a tablespoon of soft food every 4 or 5 hours, and rarely, if at all drinks. I'm lost. I dunno what to do, I don't know whats wrong, and I don't know how to make her feel better. Of course I know I need to take her to the vet again, and I will, I just want to know what I can do, if anything. Did she possibly just pull a muscle and eating is painful for her? Has any one else experienced something like this?

She does a few things she's never really done before, or maybe I've just been watching her like a Hawk. She's already got upper respritory problems, but her breathing, is very pulsating and fast. Sometimes I notice this bothering her, but most of the time she seems comfortable with it. Her balance was fine, but I noticed last night after giving her an appetite pill, as she walked away she stumbled and almost fell. She also does this weird biting of the air thing.

Sorry this is so long, just a lot on my mind right now.

I would get her to the vet today. This no eating is disturbing as well as the stumbling. Cats cannot go without eating and drinking for very long.

Also, IMO, go to another vet. The first one certainly didn't help her and she has not improved, in fact gotten worse.

She is an old gal who needs a good exam, senior blood panel and a knowledgable vet. She is too important to you for anything less.

You are a good person to take such good care of her. Please keep us posted.

Were any xrays done? I would be very worried about something going on inside(either that caused her to miss or afterward).

I second everything farleyv says

Just took her to the vet. Got Xrays done and it doesn't look too good. The vet said her lungs look terrible. They are so full of fluid you can barely see any ribs and her heart isn't visable. They're gonna do a fluid drain on her lungs and send a sample off to get tested. My family is a wreck worrying about our sweet cat. I'm trying to stay positive that she will recover, but thinking realistically, I'm not so sure.

Prayers that at least you can get a clear diagnosis to help you in your choices - hoping it's nothing but good news, but your cat is blessed in being so loved.

I'm sending all the good vibes I can muster to you and your sweet kitty.

I do hope she gets better and she's not suffering

Give her a kiss for me.
