My 3 went in for a check up after they were neutered few week beforehand and were 15 weeks
they were
4 lb 11.5
4 lb 13.5
4lb 4.5(girl)
Other litter one got fixed later and hes VERY small compared he was
3lbs 8.5 oz at 14 weeks(also was one of 6 in the litter)

Keep in mind mine had all the food they wanted but nursed and still try(one mom smacks them away but allows them to cuddle other mom hates them all but was VERY sick at one time)
2.3x2.2 comes out to 5.06 lbs

2.3 kg at 15 weeks is on the big side but some kittens are big, especially males. It's nothing I would worry about. He will probably just be a big boy as an adult. As long as he doesn't look obese I wouldn't worry.

My kitten was 3.5 lb when I got him at 8 weeks old from the shelter. That was well beyond any growth chart I looked at, nearly 2x as big. Now he's 13 weeks old and is only 3.64 lbs, which is bringing him down to the 90th percentile or so. Kittens hit growth spurts the same way human children do. Some kittens grow so fast at once that their joints start to pop, but then they slow down and even out.

5lbs wowser i ddint know how to convert it. he doesnt look obese at all like you say i think he will just be a big boy im feeding him 3 times a day wet kitten food and he has a bowl of dry down but only nibbles at that really.

when the vet weighed him i said is that ok she said yes very good she even said lets hope you grow into those back legs soon haha.

this is him last week

He doesn't look overweight at all. Like you said, he looks like a big kitten, not a fat one. Just look at how wide around those front legs are, that is going to be one sturdily-built cat.

Tumbles looks like that! He's always had these chunky legs and body. He's not overweight, but I'm waiting for him to grow into those legs!
We weighed 8.2 lbs the last time he was at the vet for his neuter. He was approx. 5.5 mos old.
