Samara won't eat today.

so Samara has been bugging me since 4 a.m. to feed her, when my husband leaves for work. I opened a fresh can of chicken and turkey natural life canned food and gave her 1/4 can. Within 5 minutes she was back in bed annoying me for food, so I checked and all food was there except a bite or two, so I went back to bed and left her in her room. around 10 she started whining for food again but she hadn't touched the first food I gave her. So I dumped it and heated her fresh canned with a little water and again she took a nibble and walked away. She isn't touching her dry and she keeps whining for food though.

I have a few cans of innova and evo and newmanns own, should I see if she'll try one of the other brands? yesterday she ate a whole can of natural life and a whiskas tray. But she hasn't eaten since about 9 last night. She is active and playful otherwise(right now she's pouncing repeatedly on our basset hound while our basset tries to find a place to take cover). She has pooped this morning and peed as well.

Try one of the other cans and see if she eats it. If not, you can boil some chicken in water with no seasonings, shred it and add some broth to it to make it the consistency of chicken salad and offer it to her.

Is there a food that your cat really likes, that she's eaten recently? I'm asking because we changed Midnight's food once. He liked the new food, and he refused to eat for a week because he wanted that new food. Luckily I found a food similar in taste for him I guess because he's eating Purina One Kitten Food right now with no problem. That also happened once when Lynxx was a kitten. Lynxx had some lobster on the 4th of July and he refused to eat for 2 days because he wanted the lobster.

well she really loves this food we've been feeding her mainly natural life chicken and turkey, chicken and veggies, and chicken and lamb rotated. but we have been offering innova, evo nutrisource and newmann's own.

Samara ate some newmann's own awhile ago so i'm hoping she's not just getting sick of the natural life. All the labels are the same with the food so I don't think they changed the formula. We have enough of the other brands to see her through till I get paid tomorrow so i'm gonna give her a break from the natural life for awhile.
