weirdest things your cat has eaten

Just thought I'd start a thread to find out what strange things other people's cats will eat. My Pushkin constantly amazes us with his willingness to try and eat most things. Seriously I think that cat is really a dog trapped in a cat's body!

Things he has or at least tried to eat:
olives
cigarette butts
baked beets
bits of washed-out bread dough in the sink
banana muffins
broccoli
carrots

I'm sure there's more I can't think of at the moment.
How about your cats?

Hmmmm, Banshee ate:

Cinnamon Toast Crunch
Shredded Wheat (her favorite)
Banana
Cantaloupe
Mango
Any kind of poultry (chicken preferred)
People tuna
Crab (she loved crab)

The rest of the kids will eat poultry and tuna. Mollipop tried banana, but didn't care for it.

Lucky loves lolipops and popsicles

none of my current kitties are really people food eaters (actually that's because I keep all food tucked away ) but my first FeLV cat, Jericho, ate:
a goldfish
spaghetti.... let's just say that the spaghetti did not agree with him and red sauce is hard ot get out of carpet

Jamie likes hot peppers and mushrooms, especially as pizza toppings.

None of my cats are people food cats currently.

Monte, one of my RB babies, ran off with a calzone crust (and lost one of his kitten teeth in it )

The cats I had as a kid would eat ANYTHING. Broccoli, asparagus, pasta, whatever was on the plate if they could get to it.

I remember Ox liked popcorn and I'm thinking Cheetos!

I'm still trying to find something Pria WON'T eat, but the weirdest would be when she ate a piece of lettuce with Southwest sauce on it.

The other kitties will eat meat, but that's pretty much the only human foods they will eat. They'll all eat a bug if they come across one.

Joey will fight you over ranch dressing and Google will fight you over icecream. Other than that, nothing really odd. Sometimes they will try, but we usually dont let them near the people food

Larry shows absolutely no interest in people food. So I was shocked the other day when I was opening up a can of pureed pumpkin. He comes running whenever he hears a can being opened. So he sat there staring at me, and I put a little on a spoon and he licked it away so fast I couldn't believe it! So I put some more on a spoon and he practically attacked the spoon! He loved it!

Go figure!

Nora will at least try most people food (don't worry, I keep onion and garlic away from her when we are cooking). She LOVES goldfish crackers. I always have to share. lol She also loves to lick green olives, but won't eat them. She LOVES berry pie, and the berries that go in it. Triple berry pie from Village Inn is her favorite. She'll tackle me for a taste.

Cucumbers
Bananas
Raw Chicken
Raw Beef
Cool Whip
Yogurt - She can hear me rip the top off from the other side of the house!
Cantaloupe
Tomatoes - but they make her puke now, they didn't use to

I'm sure there are more, those are the ones I can think of off the top of my head. She is a people food junkie.

Penny likes turkey (this is her favorite time of the year Ferris likes the occasional tiny taste of cheese.

Baby likes bread, yogurt (her fave,) cheese and white powdered donuts.

Max and Ginger aren't much for people food at all.

But Squeaky is a feline garbage pail - she eats ANYTHING! She begs for food every time I eat, and is starting to learn what means.

Recently, Squeaky ate some shredded cheddar, a bit of burger, some chunks of cooked chicken and a piece of broccoli. But her most favorite, it seems, is sharing a chicken salad cheese melt with me.

Mine aren't people food eaters, for which I'm thankful! My foster boy, Cappy, absolutely pines away until I let him lick the bottom of the cereal bowl. My RB kitty, Abby, was a fiend for McDonald's french fries!

Cotton used to steal pork chops if you didn't watch him.

Freya took a bit out of a frozen yogurt popsicle.

Dryer lint

The goof ball won't eat people food of any kind. Although he did eat a green bean one time.

But if I leave the tiniest bit of lint on the carpet near the dryer he will find it and eat it.

Speck doesn't like people food - in fact, we could sit down to a whole seafood dinner in front of him and he wouldn't pay us any attention. However, I once dropped the leafy part of a piece of celery in the floor and he ate it. I submitted a thread about it and was advised that my kitty needed some greens.

Dryer lint?! I think you might just have won a prize with that answer!

Glad to see my boy isn't the only "starving" cat out there trying to steal anything left unattended. I forgot to add marshmallows. We once had a tug-o-war with a marshmallow that was in my mouth at the time.

Utu has eaten:
Somekind of small rose bush which was planted in a pot
chili
rubber band (and scared the hell out of me)
cucumber
donut
potato chips are his favourite, specially cheese flavored
beer... (lesson learned, keep it in a bottle or can, don't pour it in a pint)

Kuura:
coffee crumbs and even drank coffee if left unsupervised when he was less than a year old

Tomu:
Lemon popsicle
porridge
any fizzy sodas will do, he'll also want to dip his paw in it..

Luna is picky, she doesn't like 'weird' things unless noodles count. And my hair.

Dog food. All the kitties will pick the moist pieces out of franklins food and when I was trying to see if franklin liked fromm gigi pulled all the fromm pieces out of the dish and ate them. As for people food I constantly need to be on guard because we don't really have off limits areas like the counters or anything so if food is out it either must be covered or I have to stand there and guard it.

My contact lens!!!

I had a cat once that hated all people food except for 2 things: cantalope juice and the salt from pumpkin seeds.

Now my Scarlett likes every bit of people junk food. In the rare times that I do buy these things, she will crawl into a bag of potato chips, pretzels, Pepperidge Farm goldfish crackers (she tries to eat those out of my mouth), tortilla chips.......

And of course all of mine vie with each other to lick the bottom of an ice cream bowl.

Jake is not the kind of cat to try to put everything in his mouth. Aside from tuna, he will basically go for any human food that comes out of a can, my guess is because it reminds him of his own food- he will smell it but if it's not tuna he won't eat it. He also gets excited when I eat raisins or things that come in packages similar to his treats but again- he quickly gives up when he realizes it's not treats.
He also likes beef jerky, but he won't eat fresh cooked fish or fresh cooked meat that hasn't come out of a can.
The only non meat food he really likes is bananas. Every time I eat a banana he really meows for me to give him some.

Yup my boy is a strange one. The first time I saw him do it I nearly flipped. I had visions of fur/lint balls being thrown up on the carpet. But it didn't seem to bother him.

I did see a post about a cat eating his own fur. I do find a lot of fur in the lint filter. Maybe that's what attracts him.

Once we discovered a red ribbon in Wessie's poop! He's eaten his cat food bag trying to get into it, and a bunch of people food.

Diva has eaten Habanero pepper, she LOVES tabasco sauce in her wet food, tofu, broccoli, and cream cheese
