Wow what a night!!!

Friday night, I had plans to go to the local casino with a close friend of mine. His plans changed and he was not able to go, so before I went I met him for coffee at 9pm. Get to the casino around 10:00 and that is when the fun begins. About a half hour goes by nothing so I head up to the sports bar for happy hour. Had a good time and some guy bought rounds for people in the bar. Finally decide to head back down and am playing a whole bunch of machines of essentially the same 50 bucks for about 3 hours. Finally get to one machine and within 15 minutes this machine turns into what I dubbed a personal money printer, to the tune of 850 dollars!!! On the way out, see another one of my other favorites and pop a 5 in it, another 100 bucks!!!

God really does answer prayers!!

I left at 3:30 am with almost a grand in my pocket!! Yesterday went to the bank and opened up a savings account with about half the total, some went to my parents and I have the rest for emergencies and fun.

I think the fact that I put a picture of Diva as my screen saver on my phone might have helped, but I am not sure!!!

Yay, congratulations, I really could do with a win, got lots of xmas pressies to buy but I never win anything. Some people have all the luck A savings account is a fab idea aswell.I'm sure Diva had a helping hand in your luck.x

Congrats!!! We have to video poker machines around here and DH and I are such suckers for them. DH won the jackpot of $2400 once and we had a few really good nights, but the bad nights happen more often. So, we just don't go to those places anymore. Now, if we ever win the lottery we are SO going to Vegas!!!

Thanks guys. I never seem to have much luck on the VP. I was actually playing a penny slot called Buffalo... Like I said in my OP, this machine was basically my personal money printer for an entire half hour... After that, I decided not to press my luck... I did not want to be one of those people who win big and then blow it all going for more...

My plan from now on when I go is to cash out those big wins and put half in the bank, then, 1/4 goes to bills and the rest is MINE!!!

Ironically, I have had more good than bad, one time I went through about 50 bucks with nothing, but the other couple times I won 250 and 120 bucks... This was the biggest win I have had thus far.

Thanks, LDG. Like I said before, I did not want to be one of those people with a gambling problem who win big and lose it all going for more. I think I know when to walk, and know that a win that big does not come very often, so I will put large amounts of "easy" money like that where it can do the most good, as a nest egg!

I've only been gambling twice - both times we were in Vegas (biz). DH's rule is very simple - we decide in advance how much we're going to spend gambling, then see how long we can make it last. We more than paid for the trip each time. The second time, we'd have had enough left over to put a little away - but we had to pay for new brakes for the RV instead.

I have gone to the casino a few times and won. One of the first few times I went, I was sitting there pressing bet max on the slots talking to my husband and I hear the noise and I said outloud "someones winning" and I looked up and it was me. :P It was $937. It's always nice to win. I went to the casino in Niagara Falls once and on my second spin won $400. We took it and blew it on an expensive dinner and went to a few places around the falls.

I wish I was the kind of person who would just put the money in the bank.

Winning is a nice feeling, at least you did not try to go for more, and used the money for something fun. I am going tomorrow night, my mom and dad are going out of town for a cruise, and figure I may just make a night out of it. Have a couple drinks, hang out, play some games, get home whenever I darn well feel like it, as I have to work tomorrow and will leave after I rest up and the traffic thins out. I can't wait as I treat my trips there like a mini vacation, a way to kick off the weekend( hopefully on a good note of course). I even have a "uniform" I wear, my 511 tactical pants, Green Lantern shirt, and my motorcycle jacket.

I love being me, lol
