I have about a 4 month old kitten, Sophia... She is beautiful!!

When we first got her I fed her wet food with mixed in crunchies..
I tried to get her to just eat dry food. Every time she has eaten dry food she has thrown it up.. Not crushed or chews, just swallowed...

So, I looked at her mouth. She has NO MOLARS!! Her only teeth are the ones in the front...

Is this normal? I have never had a cat without teeth...

HELPPPP!!!!! Sophia has no teeth to crush food!!!

Thank you for your time !!

That is the prime age for teething, and in many cases the teeth fall out before the news ones grow in. That is kind of odd that all of the back teeth fell out at the same time with no signs of new teeth popping in.

All I can think of is to keep feeding wet until you can see teeth protruding from the kitten's gums

Thank you!

I was thinking teething too but like you said, all at once? Weird!

I will watch her and keep her on soft stuff!!

Lynxx and Luna came with their baby teeth all in. Actually I think Luna had all her adult teeth in when she came here. Lynxx lost his baby teeth but his adult teeth right there. Midnight came here with just his baby fangs. The rest of his baby teeth seemed to come in when he reached 8 weeks old.

I would ask the vet, it's kind of strange that at 4 months old, all their baby teeth are gone, with no adult teeth there.

Quality canned food is better for her anyway.

At four months - if she was with her mommy, she'd probably still be nursing.

(I sent you a PM.)

At four months the kitten is long past nursing. Nursing stops at around 8 weeks

My personal experience - was with the feral family that we were caring for, and I found that they continued to nurse about 2 months after their mommy and they were all either neutered or spayed (at the age of about 4 months).

I have pictures.

So, I stand by my statement having experienced first hand this to be a true statement.

If left on their own, and circumstances are conducive - they will continue to nurse until mommy weans them or something happens to prevent them to continue to nurse.

Last year Biter nursed the kittens way past 8 weeks(they were at the very least 4 months old when they quit), I was wondering when she was going to stop nursing them. That said past 8 weeks it's more comfort than nutrition. Also, it's up to the mother how long they nurse, some wean early, some late, some right on time. Most mother cats will not nurse 4 month old kittens.

Like I said at that age it is more comfort than nutrition, they are getting all the nutrition they need from food.

Are you sure of her age? She might be younger than thought, but that said a vet needs to find out why she doesn't have teeth.
